Bradford Beard received his Bachelor’s of Music in Guitar Performance from Berklee College of Music and a Masters in Classical Guitar Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. His studies centered around the works of J. S. Bach and Heitor Villa-Lobos.
Bradford works as a pit orchestra musician, having recently played as a ringer in Boston Conservatory’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrel’s and North Shore Music Theatre’s Mamma Mia.
He has studied with celebrated guitarists Eliot Fisk, Roland Dyens, and Kim Perlak, and is an accomplished classical guitarist. His passion extends to all musical styles; while at Berklee, he studied jazz and improvisation with Mick Goodrick and David Tronzo.
He’s released an album with folk rock band In Ivy. He writes and records original songs in his spare time. His philosophy is that a diversity of interests doesn’t come at the expense of the depth of that interest.
