Daniel Padgett enjoys an active and varied career as a musician. Sought after as a teacher, pianist, music director, arranger and clinician, he is highly regarded in both classical and musical theatre circles throughout the Boston area.
Daniel loves to improvise in jazz, rock/pop and contemporary classical styles, with colleagues or as a soloist. As a member of the progressive chamber ensemble Cordis he performs alongside Richard Grimes, a pioneer of the electric cimbalom, and world-renowned percussionist Andrew Beall. Daniel’s original compositions and recordings can be found on SoundCloud, iTunes and all streaming platforms.
A seasoned piano teacher with over 10 years of teaching and coaching experience, Daniel has developed a playful and dynamic approach to piano lessons. He places enormous value on fundamentals and technique, and understands the different skill sets required for various styles and genres.
He is currently active in higher education on Brandeis, MIT, Harvard and Emerson campuses. Daniel holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Florida State University and the Longy School of Music in Piano Performance.
