Kristin Lawler, Soprano, received her Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance with an Emphasis in Opera and Musical Theatre from Capital University in Columbus, OH.  She is currently completing Master’s studies in Vocal Performance at the prestigious Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA.

In addition to Kristin’s opera and musical theatre background she has also been trained in the styles of jazz, contemporary pop, and rock. As a performer she has been seen in several roles such as Meg March in Little Women: The Musical, Susan in Company, Cinderella in Into the Woods, the Marschallin in scenes from Der Rosenkavalier, and Donna Anna in scenes from Don Giovanni.

Kristin centers her teaching around building a healthy vocal foundation that gives her student’s voices the longevity needed to sing for years to come. With her extensive knowledge in a variety of genres she aims to find a way to cater to each singer’s individual needs. Beyond the musical aspect of singing she also works with her students to dive deeper into the emotive portrayal of each piece.

Kristin has had experience working with students of all ages and abilities and believes that any effort to connect with the arts is a true inspiration.
