Recurrent Lessons/Monthly Pay Program
For students who wish to reserve a regular time on a weekly or biweekly basis.
Recurrent lessons guarantee a studio/instructor for the same day and time each week (or every 2 weeks)
Recurrent lessons are billed monthly, 5 days before the 1st of each month
48 hours notice is required for rescheduling, or else the full lesson fee is forfeit
A rescheduled lesson must be made up by the last day of the following month, with your regular teacher or another teacher at the studio, or else it is a forfeit of the lesson fee
Email Amy to Freeze the account to pause lessons or skip a lesson. You won’t be billed during a freeze and any prepaid lessons during a freeze will carry over indefinitely.

48 Hour Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Your appointments are very important to the Amy Dancz Voice & Piano Studio team. They are reserved especially for you. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. Therefore, we respectfully request at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments.
Please understand that when you forget, cancel, or change your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our wait list miss the opportunity to receive services.
In the event of emergency or sudden illness, one cancellation with 24 hours notice will be allowed per term (Spring: January-May, Summer: June-August, Fall: September-December).
Amy values her staff’s time. Amy pays her staff their entire wage for any missed or late canceled appointment out of respect for their valuable time. Therefore, we have a strictly enforced 48 hour cancellation and rescheduling policy.
Any appointment missed, late canceled, or changed without 48 hours notice will result in a charge equal to 100% of the reserved service amount.
Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times in order to prevent any missed appointments which result in a cancellation fee.
Any late arrival will shorten your appointment time and will not be made up by running into the next client’s scheduled appointment.
In case of illness, Covid exposure, or snow, please opt for a remote lesson or your teacher can record personalized practice materials for you in lieu of a lesson.
Teacher Cancellations:
We work as a team here at Amy Dancz Voice & Piano Studio. Our teaching staff is made up of professional working musicians who may sometimes travel for performances or tours. Teachers may elect to take a vacation or may become ill or injured. If your teacher is unable to teach or make up a lesson, we will provide a substitute teacher. If a substitute is unavailable, we will credit your account for any canceled lesson.
Snow Policy:
In the event that Boston Public Schools close for snow, or the city of Boston declares a snow emergency, all lessons will be remote only on that day.
Additional emergency absences will be considered on an individual basis by Amy Dancz. You may request not to be charged for the late canceled session in writing within 7 days if you feel such action is warranted. Amy will make the decision to honor your request on a case-by-case basis and will respond back to you in writing within 7 days.
The 48 hour cancellation policy gives us time to inform our wait list clients of any availability, as well as keeping our staff schedules filled, thus better serving everyone. Amy Dancz Voice & Piano Studio policies are presented and provided in the best quality and tradition of excellent service for our established and future clientele.
