Julia Perry is a passionate artist, educator, and songwriter whose voice transcends musical boundaries. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Julia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Songwriting with a focus on Voice in 2023. With a career spanning over a decade, Julia has cultivated a dynamic and versatile approach to music, with a particular affinity for rock. As the frontwoman of her band, Exit 18, she has earned widespread recognition, receiving accolades such as “Heavy/Metal Act of the Year” and “New Act of the Year” at the New England Music Awards, alongside multiple nominations for “Rock Act of the Year” at the Boston Music Awards since 2019.

Julia’s musical journey began in the world of musical theatre, where she explored a variety of roles, from the ingénue character Sandy in Grease to the comedic Lumière in Beauty and the Beast. Her vocal range and versatility extend across rock, pop, jazz, R&B, and musical theatre, all grounded in a strong foundation of classical voice training. Julia specializes in cultivating a commanding stage presence while preserving vocal integrity, guiding her students to become well-rounded vocalists and confident performers.

As an educator, Julia champions the importance of emotional connection paired with healthy vocal technique, believing this combination creates truly impactful performances—“that’s where the magic happens!” She is committed to fostering an environment where music feels freeing, joyful, and empowering. Julia’s philosophy underscores the healing and unifying power of music, and she works with her students to harness this transformative force in both their personal and artistic lives. In addition to vocal coaching, Julia offers lessons in beginner piano and original songwriting, encouraging her students to explore their unique voices.

Outside of her musical pursuits, Julia is deeply connected to nature and is a dedicated student of meditation. She finds great inspiration in its ability to unlock creativity, foster authentic expression, and promote personal growth—principles she carries with her in both life and art.
