Jillian agona

Jillian Agona is a classically trained Lyric Soprano, storyteller, and teacher based in Boston. She has a passion for an eclectic mix of musical genres and styles, especially Opera, Pop, Jazz, Musical Theater, and R&B. She is also an accomplished songwriter and member of a Pop-Funk duo.

She received her Master of Music in Voice Performance from the prestigious Mannes School of Music at the New School where she studied with World-renowned soprano Diana Soviero. While at Mannes she performed a myriad of roles from composers including Cavalli and Puccini.

Jillian holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Boston University, where she won first place in the BU at Carnegie Hall Competition and performed at the BU 2021 Commencement Ceremony. She also studied vocal technique and performance at the Royal College of Music in London.

Jillian’s stage career began at age six performing in Musical Theater. She has since gone on to perform in dozens of musicals and plays in roles such as Adriana in The Boys fromSyracuse and The Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. 

As a teacher, Jillian aims to provide students with a safe learning environment to experiment with their voices and express themselves, while honing their sound and stage presence. She tailors her lessons to each students’ individual goals and needs, and teaches students of all levels and genres.
