James Slipp
James Slipp (he/him/his) is a baritone, pianist, and voice teacher based in Boston, Massachusetts. James enjoys teaching all ages, with experience teaching adults, children, and adolescents in public and private education settings. He believes in the importance of healthy, sustainable technique to help students sing their favorite songs comfortably, confidently, and most importantly, with joy. His studio is a safe space where students can be themselves and take risks while exploring their voice. As a pedagogue, he has presented his presentation regarding transgender vocal pedagogy at New Hampshire Music Educators Association, Maine Music Educators Association, and New England Conservatory. James holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, summa cum laude, from Keene State College and is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy at Boston Conservatory at Berklee. He strives to help every singer, regardless of their background or identity, feel empowered to make art that aligns with their most authentic self.
