Stella fisher
Stella Fisher is a musician, performer, and educator based in the Boston area. They graduated from Kent State with a BFA in Musical Theater in 2023 and were named Outstanding Student Musician and Best Leading Actor for their role as Bobby Strong in Urinetown. Other favorite roles include Daughter in Quilters, Aquarius Soloist in HAIR, and Don John in Much Ado About Nothing. Throughout their undergrad, they also started working in Music Direction, assisting on educational and professional productions.
While Stella is a Musical Theater artist, their experience is diverse. They grew up doing choir and were a member and co-president of the Boston Children’s Chorus’ Premier Choir, as well as a member of the Madrigal Singers at Lexington High School. They have trained in Classical, Jazz, Pop, R&B, A cappella, and, of course, Musical Theater vocal styles, with a strong focus on Mix, riffs/runs, and vocal improv.
Stella strives to create a collaborative and engaging learning environment for students to express themselves, embrace curiosity, and expand their knowledge of music and the world around them. They also encourage their students to figure out what they like and to have agency over their education. Confidence can be one of the biggest hurdles in music lessons, but Stella’s friendly and understanding teaching style aims to reframe that fear into fun. No matter your age or experience, Music is for everyone!
Outside of music, Stella also has a passion for Technical Theater: Directing, Stage Management, Props, Costumes, Set Design, etc. They also enjoy being outdoors, writing, and playing with their black cat, Westley.
