Francesca Binder
Francesca Binder is a graduate of Smith College with a degree in music, a concentration in voice performance, and a minor in Italian. At Smith, she was in the a capella group, The Smiffenpoofs, as an alto/soprano and took on the role of assistant music director. She loves all genres of music but is geared toward playing and singing in contemporary styles like pop, jazz, and rock.
A born-and-raised New Englander from Providence, Rhode Island, she has traveled around the globe but loves the East Coast best of all. She has been singing all her life and plays a range of instruments, including piano, electric bass, guitar, and ukulele. She also has talent in the recording and production side of music and is interested in many aspects of the music world, from private recording sessions to hosting community music events and even composing every now and then.
She believes that music is for everyone and can be one of the most powerful tools for community-building.
