Morgan Pay Staley graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance in 2016 and has been teaching voice and piano ever since. She served as a Music Teacher at two different music academies for seven years and specialized in giving Master Classes on healthy techniques for singing in different styles and artistic expression through characterization in song. She works with students of all ages, musical backgrounds, and varying interest levels and goals. She has led Worship and Music at several churches and has experience leading choral groups.

Morgan has vocally led worship band events at International, National, and Regional Worship Conventions with thousands in attendance. She is a five-time finalist in the National Association Teachers of Singing competition in the Musical Theatre and Classical categories. She has watched her students succeed and place in ISSMA Solo and Ensemble events, Show Choir Solo Competitions, and be accepted into performing arts high schools and college auditions.

Morgan and her sister have two albums out, so songwriting is a topic she enjoys discussing and delving into with students. Since the age of 10, Morgan has been singing in recording studios for print music publishing companies like Boosey and Hawkes, J.W. Pepper, Hal Leonard, Alfred Music Publishing, Shawness Press, Beckenhorst Press, Chorister’s Guild, Sight and Sound Productions, Praise Gathering Music Group, and Erik Foster Music Group to name a few. The latter three being nominated for Dove Awards for excellence in musicality and publication popularity. She has sung on several albums for independent artists providing background vocals and merging her knowledge of pedagogy and performance practice with a multitude of musical stylings. One of the most recent albums that she sang on was mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London, England.

Currently in the Vocal Pedagogy Master’s program at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Morgan works with students and colleagues daily on the pedagogy of classroom and vocal studio work. She co-teaches a Voice for Non-Majors class at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, serves as a paid section leader in the Conservatory Choir, and is a section leader in a professional choir in the city. Morgan is grateful to continue sharing her love of music with others by teaching at the Amy Dancz Voice Studio!
