Dominika Zawada
Dominika’s musical journey began during her early childhood in Poland, filled with imaginative performances for friends and family members. From those humble beginnings, her love for music only grew stronger.
She eventually ventured from Poland to Amsterdam and found herself immersed in the vibrant arts scene of the city, and completed a BA in jazz vocal performance from the world-renowned Royal Conservatory of the Hague. She completed 5 years of Estill Voice Training, to fortify her knowledge of contemporary commercial music and techniques.
Shortly thereafter, she co-founded Happily Ever After Productions, the first English-speaking musical theater company in Amsterdam, where she worked with and coached many amateur and professional musicians, actors and singers.
Inspired by Broadway stars and seeking to be surrounded by the best of the best, she made the leap to New York City, the epicenter of the performing arts world and now Boston, bringing her knowledge and passion with her. Dominika’s journey has been as varied as it has been rewarding; she has not only taken the stage as a performer but has also served as a music director and producer for numerous productions.
Now, as a singing teacher at Amy Dancz Voice Studio, Dominika brings her passion for music and her love for teaching to a new generation of aspiring singers.
With a positive spirit, a knack for making music, and a sprinkle of Polish charm, Dominika’s lessons are a blend of discovery, technique, and joy. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that each voice is unique, and each story is worth telling. Whether her students are belting out show tunes or crooning jazz standards, Dominika is there every step of the way, guiding them on their own musical journey with laughter, patience, and endless support.
