Elijah, a classically trained baritone, has an extensive background in musical theatre performance, songwriting, lyric writing, and piano technique for songwriters. Elijah’s past experiences feature work with The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Pops, and Berklee Broadway Band. Elijah received their Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Writing and Production with a minor in Musical Theatre Writing from Berklee College of Music.

In their experience as an educator, they have provided private instruction for beginner to intermediate piano as well as voice throughout all levels. Recently, they have begun teaching songwriting, music theory, arranging, and orchestration on the collegiate level. Elijah’s professional work includes the development of an original musical that explores the challenges of parenthood, divorce, and love. Other projects include orchestral pieces, jingle writing, and an alt. pop album. Elijah’s musical influence originates from the talents of Sara Bareilles, Dua Lipa, Emily King, and Sammy Rae & The Friends. Their favorite music to perform is pop and musical theatre. Their writing is inspired by contemporary musicals, such as Waitress, The Last Five Years, and Come from Away.

Elijah encourages creativity and individuality throughout all processes of music-making. They create a positive learning experience in an environment that encourages risk-taking and curiosity. Their goal is to provide the tools and support necessary for students to develop confidence in their artistry.
